CE marking:

Goggles-Protect 2020 are CE marked and approved according to EU PPE directive 2016/425. EN 166: 2002-Personal eye protection specification, EN 167: 2002 Personal eye protection, optical test methods, EN 168: 2002 Personal eye protection, Non Optical test methods.

Safety goggles, with optically sharpened lenses, are personal protective equipment (PPE) class 2. Safety goggles must be approved by a European laboratory (eg INSPEC and INRS). The performance of the equipment is demonstrated against the current European standard SS-EN 166. Achieved performance is marked on the frame and lens respectively. For the lens, the lens filter type, color tone, manufacturer, optical class, mechanical resistance and other requirements (fog etc.) are specified. For the frame, the manufacturer, the standard number (166), mechanical resistance, applicable applications, the maximum hue number compatible with the frame, and whether the frame is suitable for a small head are specified.
